Act I: THE COVEN IS ALIVE
Opening scene:
A small Village cradled by deep dark woods and mountains.
Autumn storms roar in the darkening evening. Town meeting takes
place at sundown.
Old man:
I remember it was 22 years ago.
They thrived amongst our village.
I remember it well, when the Sun burnt blood red
and the Moon shone in glossy silver.
Our Village became our tomb and our tombs became our hell.
(Old man continues):
In that dark time, when the Dead would not submit to their final
rest but rose up and terrorized the living
That was the time when the Witches from the Hilltop House offered
their help
Old Witch #1:
Old is this curse, old, wicked and bound by blood
Dark deeds need to be done to remove this mark that looms over
your Village. It requires a sacrifice…
Town Sheriff:
Do what needs to be done. This wickedness cannot go on!
Our crops rot in the fields and our hunters fear the Forest with
lengthening shadows.
Old Witch#2:
Blood it requires to remove this evil spell.
Blood of a first-born baby, offered for the Dewill.
Who will you choose, for this sacrifice must be done soon?
Town Council:
The old Whore Nancy and her daughter born of Sin!
She is responsible for this heresy! She is the answer, a way out
of this misery...
Old Witch #1:
Sheriff! Your first-born child we take as well... as payment for
our affair.
Blood for blood as they say...
Town Council:
(The Sheriff resists but townsfolk overpower him)
FINE. So be it!...
Narrator:
...said the Town Council for the Dewill shall not win...So the
first-born daughter was sacrificed and her blood bled to the
burial ground.
And the Dead rose nevermore...
But they were foolish and afraid... so they betrayed the Witches.
...and the Payment was never fulfilled.

Market square at the center of town it is
late at night.
22 years ago. A mob is gathering.
Town Council:
We must cast those harlots out of our village!
What sorcery goes on upon that old house on the Hilltop
Rites of evil magick, a Sign of Doom glooms over our village
They want the Sheriff’s child and God knows what next.
Narrator:
With scythes and torches they came
To lit the Old House with flame
Anger and fear in their eyes
Flames will cleanse all of their lies!!
...To justify their actions to God they offered the Witches a
second chance...
Town Sheriff:
Remove the Dewill from your hearts and accept the word of Christ
No harm will come to you if you turn to our God and let my child
be unharmed.
Narrator:
...but it was too late. Some hateful villager had already set the
place on flame…
...and so burnt down the Old House on the hilltop...
...And their screams filled the night sky...

We tried to forget our wickedest deeds.

So we destroyed the devils and their nest!
It gave our village its peaceful rest
Narrator:
But all could not rest
Christine, a daughter of a whore
Just a Girl, burning-night born
She took her first breath
When hilltop screams
where silenced by death
(Narrator continues)
What awful dreams she sees
Burning fires behind the trees
Others gather around flickering flames.
Starting to dance naked around the fire.
Just behind the light something moves in the shadows
Flames raise forming figures
She tries to run and flee but dark shadows rise
And drag her back into flames
All sang words without sane meaning
She wakens with screams
Christine's Mother:
You have to fight against your demons for I fear for your soul!
Those voices who call from the ruins it is home of the ghouls
You must go there and banish them with Holy Water
I pray The Lord to keep you safe and guide your road in the
Night...

bottle of holy water in her hand.

After 22 years no one really sees because all fear even to look
At those charred and scorched ruins where nothing lives

All alone walking the old abandoned road
Holy water burning her hand and her feet so heavy
Wind blowing fast against branches, hitting her face
She tumbles to the rocks and falls…
The Bottle hits the ground and shatters to pieces.
Broken glass makes her hand bleed
Voice from the ruins:
Your whore mother and her weak prayers won’t help you here
For this is the Dewill's realm where the shadows grow long
Open your mind and your legs like good mother's heir
And give yourself to me!
For this is the Dewill's realm where the shadows grow long
Open your legs like good mother's heir
Narrator:
In trance Christine walks closer to the ruins of the old house
There she finds stairs to the cellar, a deep dark hole in the
ground
From that hole comes red glowing light like a beacon to go under
dark
Surrounded by destruction and chaos there is a table made from
black stone
Voice from the ruins:
Fire burns back and forth
From the shadows rise a court
Daughter of a whore, nothing worth
Innocent blood reveals the Port
Narrator:
On the table untouched, unharmed, lies a golden medallion
Strange carvings on the surface and red glow surrounding it
Christine grasps the medallion on her bloody hand and feels a
burning pain
She sees rising flames and hears words of the Old Bane
Old Witches:
Fire burns back and forth
From the shadows rise the court
Daughter of whore, nothing worth
Innocent blood reveals the Port
Wake us! Wake us! Ignite the ritual! Follow the Goat!

This whole family has turned their backs on God.
They all have forsaken the holy truth and turned to dark path
We must act or face the God's wrath

This work of the Dewill must end tonight!
Burn them all and their house of SIN!
